After my tomb raiding fun, I decided to mill around in Thera, the capital city and check out the gorgeous surroundings. This will be photo-heavy because it is just beautiful! This is where I truly felt I was part of the Sonic World Adventure, and was smiling moronally.

It was a round this time that it was the anniversary of my Nan’s passing, and so I lit a candle in the central cathedral.

It’s so beautiful! And hilly, definitely got a workout!

One happy side effect of being a single British tourist is that every cocktail is a challenge to the barmen, owners, etc. They want to see if you can handle their mixes. And I’m game. I had the strongest Long Island Ice Teas, one of which is pictured above, and they were absolutely delicious. Thank you Greece! Also, Souvlaki is super nom noms. Love it.

Evening set in, and the scenery remained breathtaking. What a wonderful place.
